Jordan + Ashley Corpman | The Park Lodge at Terry Trueblood Ceremony + Reception || Iowa City Wedding Photographer

Jordan and Ashley got married on October 5th, 2019 in an intimate and private ceremony surrounded by immediate family and friends. Despite the fact that the ceremony was moved indoors due to Iowa’s ever-changing and unpredictable fall weather, Ashley and Jordan described the ceremony as their favorite moment of the day, saying it was exactly everything they wanted. Even though Jordan and Ashley currently live in Colorado, they chose The Park Lodge at Terry Trueblood in Iowa City because it was a special place they’d visit early in their relationship. They were married by their good friend, Stephanie, who the couple says “made the entire ceremony special and unique just for us.” Ashley also says that “looking into Jordan’s eyes and knowing that this was the best decision I’ve ever made was the real deal.” SWOON!

The inspiration for the style of the wedding was “vintage meets rustic” with warm colors and sweet and simple decor. The bridesmaids dresses were inspirerd by a “vintage sunset” color palette which paired perfectly with the stunning orange florals. 140 guests joined the couple following the ceremony where they had drinks, desserts and dancing in an open house/mingle style reception.

Now that the couple is married, what they most look forward to is “Adventures! Our entire relationship has been one adventure after another. We moved from Iowa City to Chicago, IL to Fort Collins, CO and now we’re in Littleton, CO right next to the foothills. We’ve met so many wonderful people along the way and have experienced amazing things!”

Some advice for future couples is “don’t stress, get enough sleep, don’t be afraid to ask for help and rain brings good luck, right?” Regarding their photography experience, the couple says “…we woke up to rain that wasn’t forecasted to stop so our outside ceremony and pictures needed to be changed ASAP, Stephanie made everything seem normal and ok… like it was supposed to happen. [Working with Stephanie was] wonderful as always. This was our third time working with her, we actually did a styled engagment then wedding shoot before we were even actually engaged!!”
