Sean + Madison Moore | Unitarian Universalist Society Church Ceremony + Hotel at Kirkwood Reception || Iowa City Wedding Photographer

Sean and Madison’s November wedding was a beautiful display of white florals and ivory and gold decor with pops of forest green against the light and airy backdrop of the Unitarian Universalist Society Church. Madison looked incredible in her gorgeous lace halter-style mermaid dress, and her bridesmaids also stunned in floor-length forest green dresses. The groom and his men were equally handsome in their navy suits. They chose the venue for their ceremony because the space was so pretty and they were allowed to get married there without being members. They said “the people there were so kind and helpful that we felt it was right!” One of their most memorable moments of the day was the sermon that the pastor delivered before marrying them. The couple says ” we respect her so much and we feel so thankful that she was able to marry us.” Following the ceremony, the couple had a reception at The Hotel at Kirkwood in Cedar Rapids. Madison said “I loved the whole day, but if I had to pick a favorite part I would probably choose getting to spend time and dance with all of my family and friends at the reception.” She also said “The Hotel Kirkwood does a great job with set up, service, and their food is great. Our DJ, Bill, from LMD Productions had everyone up and dancing most of the night, which is another favorite from the day.” The bride and groom would also like to give a special thanks to Big Grove Brewery “for letting us ‘take over’ between the ceremony and reception — they took care of us and let us take pictures!”

Some advice Madison has for future couples is: “Once it is your wedding day, enjoy every moment because it goes by so quick! Stay calm and try to be present for every moment!” As far as what’s next for the couple, she says “we are really looking forward to the next steps in the relationship with starting our own family together.”

Sean and Madison had this to say about their wedding photography experience: “Our experience with Stephanie was great. We love how organized she is, it makes the process go so smooth! We felt so comfortable with her and we would recommend her to everyone!”
